3D Die Cast Lapel Pins

Maximum detail casting. This is a multi-dimensional pin with a sculpted effect. The common pin only has 2 levels of metal and both levels are flat, while this one has many levels and surfaces for maximum detail. This style also allows for intricate shapes and unlimited inner metal cutouts.

Step-by-step Pin Building

Choose Your Size

¾” is a common size for a simple business pin with a logo and limited text, while a 1.5” is the most common for Lions Clubs International pins which usually require many design elements and a large amount of text.

Plating

The color of the metal will have a significant impact on your design. Bright and shiny options provide a polished, high value look while antique options deliver greater contrast and detail.

Why Antique Plating?

The color of the metal has a major effect on this pin especially. Antique plating is highly recommended, as the reflections of polished metal greatly reduce the visibility of sculpted 3D detail, while an antique effect increases the contrast between low levels and high levels. The lowest levels are usually darker and the higher levels are brighter, causing the 3D areas to pop even more.
*Exceptions to this rule are badges or other designs that contain a lot of 3D areas that do not require a close look in order to recognize.
